The Battery Chargers (FCBC) for Industrial uses follows the principle of phase angle control of semi controlled Thyristor Bridge. The system comprises a transformer, a Semi Controlled Thyristor Bridge, an LC filter, Control card, Feature card and Feed Back mechanism. The AC input voltage is converted to some output AC level by the main transformer which in turn is rectified by semi controlled Thyristor Module, filtered and distributed to charge the Batteries and output load. The dropper diodes are used for maintaining the output DC level so that during boost charging of Batteries the load is not harmed. The soft start and delayed on charging protects the input/output device and system itself. The FCBC is protected against AC input surge voltage and shuts off during the under and over volt of input supply. The system is also protected against reverse Battery connection.
